Establishing Israel’s Innovation Center

Ayelet Frish was one of the visionaries, initiators, and founders of the Israeli Innovation Center at the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation. She was responsible for developing the strategy and branding upon the establishment of the Center, which presents the story of Israel as the Hi-tech and Start-Up Nation. Today, the Israeli Innovation Center is one of the leading and most successful visitor centers in Israel.

The launch of the Peres Center for Peace and Innovation took place in October 2018 at a remarkable event that attracted significant media coverage from around the world, echoing the excitement surrounding the launch of the Center. The international opening event was held in the presence of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu; Vice President of China, Wang Qishan; businessman and founder of Alibaba, Jack Ma; Google founder Eric Schmidt, senior ministers and diplomats from multiple countries; as well as heads of major multinational corporations.

The Israeli Innovation Center has become one of the most successful visitor’s centers in Israel today, and is considered an obligatory stop for heads of state and business executives visiting Israel, as well as a hub for diplomatic delegations and young adults from Israel and around the world. As part of a fascinating journey, the center exhibits the most advanced and groundbreaking state-of-the-art technologies. Inspired by the vision of the late Shimon Peres, visitors are exposed to the worlds of Israeli innovation and the remarkable story of the State of Israel – a country that emerged from a land of deserts and swamps, overcame the stark absence of natural resources, and became the Start-up Nation thanks to Israeli daring, invention, and innovation.
